Thank you for being great partners! Our Mental Health Engagement and Response Teams (MHEART), in partnership with Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent are made up of police officers and mental health professionals trained to defuse or de-escalate crisis situations. These teams also advocate for those in crisis and ensure mental health assessments are completed where they are needed most.
MHEART works collaboratively with other community partners, ensuring a coordinated response to complex crisis situations in our community. In 2023, the Sarnia Police Services expanded MHEART, increasing the availability of vital mental health supports for those most in need, when they need it.
