Accreditation Canada

Accreditation is one of the ways CMHA Lambton Kent demonstrates its ongoing commitment to continuous quality improvement. In 2014, 2018, and 2022 we achieved Exemplary Standing, the highest level awarded by Accreditation Canada. In 2025 we began preparations for our next accreditation review to happen in 2026.

Accreditation is an internationally recognized evaluation process administered by a third party organization, Accreditation Canada to ensure organizations continue to meet evolving standards of care and deliver high‑quality, safe, and client‑centred services.

The accreditation process is rigorous. It includes on‑site surveys conducted by experienced health care professionals who engage with staff, volunteers, clients, and families to better understand how care is delivered across the organization. These surveys are a validation of our strengths and an important opportunity to identify areas for growth.

Achieving Exemplary Standing reflects our collective commitment to excellence and continuous quality improvement. As accreditation standards evolve, so does our approach to service delivery. Each accreditation cycle challenges us to reflect, adapt, and strengthen our practices so we can better meet the needs of the people we serve.

Accreditation is not a one‑time achievement, it is an ongoing learning process that supports accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across CMHA Lambton Kent.
